The Police Command in Anambra, has initiated 24-hour surveillance on the Second Niger Bridge in collaboration with the police command in Delta.
This was made known by Commissioner of Police Aderemi Adeoye on Sunday.
Adeoye mentioned that the patrol will be both mobile and static, and investigations are ongoing regarding the recent vandalism. He warned potential criminals that they will face the full force of the law if they attempt any further acts of vandalism on the national asset.
He said they are working in collaboration with Delta State Command which also shares the asset, to achieve comprehensive coverage.
He expressed happiness that the vandalised parts have been replaced with more fortification, but warned anybody who would wish to attempt another attack on the facility to desist because such a person will be caught.
He said their surveillance is 24 hours .
