Police In Anambra Smash 3-man Criminal Gang At Obosi Idemili North LGA
Police operatives in Anambra State have arrested two members of a three -man criminal gang operating with tricycle, Keke, around Littlewood Estate, Obosi, Idemili North Council Area.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, who disclosed this to newsman, said the gang engaged Police Operatives in a firefight, but bowed to superior firepower of the police Operatives who arrested two of them with gunshot wounds, while the third suspect managed to escape.
The PPRO revealed that two Berreta Pistols and two rounds of ammunition were recovered from the hoodlums.
The arrested suspects are Amaechi Precious aged twenty five, who hails from Obosi, and Almazer Avalumo, also aged twenty five years, from Adikpo in Benue State.
Reacting to the incident, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye, charged Police Officers to sustain the fight against criminal elements wherever they may be lurking, and also encouraged members of the public to call the Command Control Room number 07039194332 or 112 for any security-related information they may wish to pass to the Police.
