Police Rescue Kidnap Victim In Edo, Arrest Suspected Cultist

Police in Edo State have rescued a kidnapped victim, recovered a stolen vehicle, and arrested a suspected cultist in separate operations.

Spokesperson Moses Yamu said Osazee Okungbowa was abducted at his home but later rescued and reunited with his family after medical care. Meanwhile, police recovered a stolen vehicle abandoned by suspects near Benin-Agbor Road.

In another incident, a suspected cultist, Kelly Osayawe, was arrested after shooting a man during a burial ceremony in Benin. The victim sustained injuries but survived. Police say investigations are ongoing to apprehend others involved in these crimes.
