The National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) has disclosed that it is yet to observe any adverse side effect from the vaccination of COVID-19 and the observed side effects from the vaccine it had administered have only been mild.
This was made known in a statement from the agency and comes as confidence in the vaccination campaign hit a setback after some European countries suspended the use of the vaccine over reports of blood clots amid other side effects.
Earlier on Thursday, the agency stated the vaccine gotten for the country was a different batch from the one in under suspicion.
AstraZeneca and the European Medicines Agency (EMA) have expressed confidence in the vaccines, ruling out a direct correlation between the vaccine and blot cloths.
