President Buhari Appoints New Inspector General Of Police

The president has appointed Usman Alkali Baba as the acting Inspector General of the Nigerian Police. His appointment is to take immediate effect.

Maigari Dingyadi , the Minister of Police Affairs made this known to journalists at the Presidential Villa on Tuesday.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Feburary 4th, extended the tenure of Mohammed Adamu as the Inspector General of Police for three months.

The Minister made it known that the change is in line with the willingness of Buhari to rejig the security architecture in the country and to ensure that the security challenges bedeviling the nation are brought to an end.
