President Tinubu Mourns Mr Ibu And Sisi Quadri

President Bola Tinubu has expressed his condolences following the passing of two veteran Nollywood actors, John Okafor, famously known as Mr. Ibu, and Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji, known as Sisi Quadri.

President Tinubu hailed the actors as artistic geniuses whose work brought joy and solace to countless Nigerians. He encouraged the bereaved to find comfort in the enduring legacy of their contributions to the entertainment industry.

In his message, President Tinubu extended heartfelt sympathies to the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), and the entire creative community. He assured them of his unwavering support, thoughts, and prayers during this difficult time.

Sisi Quadri passed away on Friday at Ogbomoso General Hospital while receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness. His demise coincided with the release of his latest movie, “Anikulapo: Rise of the Specter,” directed by Kunle Afolayan, where he portrayed one of the key characters.

Meanwhile, Mr. Ibu succumbed to cardiac arrest after experiencing a relapse about a week ago. He was rushed to Evercare Hospital in Lagos on Saturday.
