President Tinubu Travels To France On Official Visit

President Bola Tinubu has departed Nigeria for Paris, France, for a two-week visit.

In a statement, the Special Adviser on Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said the visit will allow the President to assess his administration’s midterm performance, review key milestones, and strategize for the second half of his tenure.

Tinubu is expected to evaluate the progress of ongoing reforms and refine plans to accelerate national development priorities.

The Special Adviser said that his administration has made notable economic strides, with the Central Bank of Nigeria reporting a significant increase in net foreign exchange reserves to $23.11 billion—up from $3.99 billion in 2023.

He said that despite his absence, the President will remain actively engaged in governance and oversight of national affairs, adding that the president is expected to return to Nigeria in about two weeks.
