Anambra governor-elect, Prof Chukwuma Soludo has revealed that it may not be business as usual with his government come 2022.
In a facebook post on Tuesday, Professor Soludo said that the belief that politics is the work and governance is merry constitutes a major cog in the wheel of public progress. He stated that his personal belief is that all the troubles that come with securing the people’s mandate constitute at most, 5% of the work and the other 95 percent rests on the actual work, toil and expectation that comes with providing good governance.
He asserted that to achieve this, merry must mean the fulfillment of substantial public good, which is in itself is about a cycle of continuous work. He also said that this has been the bedrock of his modest achievements in previous private and public sector endeavours.
Nigerians have since been reacting to the statement. A facebook user, Paul Ikegbunam told the incoming governor that touting has become the order of the day and it was spoiling business for people in Onitsha. He told him to make ridding the state of agberos to be part of his agenda.
Another Top fan of Prof Soludo , Agatha Jacob said that the people are holding on to his manifestos during his campaign period and which will be a leading goal for his achievement.
