has sent his sincere condolences to the Obunadike family , Umuohi Obi Area and the entire people of Okija ancient kingdom over the sudden death of Late Mr. Arinzechukwu Obunadike whose life was allegedly sniffed away at Bridge Head axis of Onitsha during a fracas that ensued on 16th February, 2024 between the members of PH Market/Ogbo ogwu market traders/Security and the Anti Touting Taskforce .
In a statement that was released on Sunday, he said that the news of the death of any promising youth is always distasteful and disheartening not to talk of when it is orchestrated by avoidable violence .
Referring to Okija people, he said that the deed is already done and they must find every peaceful means to console themselves and present the grievances to the necessary Authorities.
He pleads with them to be law abiding because no two wrongs will necessarily make a right, and they should endeavour to expunge every thoughts of revenge and destruction from their minds.
He said that as their representative , actions towards finding Justice for the death of their brother have already commenced as he has personally forwarded the reactions of his people to the Governor , Commissioner of Police and has also backed it up with a letter from his Office. He said that he has contacted the Leadership of Ogbo Ogwu market Onitsha for proper briefing on the true position of the matter for further actions to be perfected.
He assured them that the death of their brother shall never be in vain and they are committed to this course and this death shall be a sacrifice for total liberation.
He prayed for repose of the soul of Arinzechukwu Obunadike.
