The house of representatives committee on national security and intelligence has commended the Department of State Services (DSS) for
effective intelligence service.
Chairman of the committee, Sha’aban Sharada, , noted this on Tuesday when he led members of the committee to an oversight function at the DSS headquarters, in Abuja.
The lawmaker said kidnapping, banditry and terrorism have reduced in the country because of the DSS’ approach in delivering its statutory mandate.
He commended Yusuf Bichi, director-general of DSS, for working to transform the service to attain prominence in protecting Nigerians.
