Report From Anambra Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, said a male adult passenger on a bike was yesterday, crushed to death in a fatal crash involving a Mark truck with registration number KSF 441 XF and a Motorcycle without a registration number, near Oba Police Division, along Oba- Nnewi road.
The Acting Sector Public Education Officer, RC Kamal Musa, said the incident happened in the afternoon.
According to eyewitnesses, the crash occurred as a result of brake failure leading to loss of control of the truck, which crashed into the Motorcycle.
Musa disclosed that a total of Four male adults, were involved in the crash including the Motorcycle passenger who died on the spot.
According to the FRSC Acting Public Education Officer, the body of the victim was deposited at the Mogue at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, by FRSC rescue team from Oraifite Unit Command after Doctors confirmation.
The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps Anambra State CC Andrew Kumapayi, condoled with the deceased family.
He strictly warned motorists to embark on regular maintenance of their vehicles and ensure their vehicles meet up with the minimum safety standards before putting them on the highways to avoid road traffic Crashes.
