Six killed as bandits, vigilantes clash in Sokoto market

In Sokoto State, a swift police operation has led to the arrest of two suspects linked to a tragic attack at a village market in Kiri, Gada Local Government Area.
The attack resulted in the loss of six lives

According to ASP Ahmad Rufai, the police spokesperson in the state, the apprehended suspects, hailing from Sabon Garin Dole in Goronyo Local Government Area, were found in possession of incriminating evidence, including three cows and a Dane gun.

They have reportedly confessed to their involvement in the crime. Investigations are also underway regarding the alleged killing of an armed robbery suspect by a mob at the Old Airport axis.

The police are diligently pursuing leads to apprehend the remaining suspects involved in the incident.
