Six killed, thousands displaced as suspected herders invade Benue communities.

At least six people were killed when suspected herders invaded Iwari and Olagagbenea communities in Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State.

Our correspondent gathered that the invaders had at the weekend attacked Iwari village and killed one person before proceeding to the Olegagbane community where they killed five people.

An indigene of the community who spoke on condition of anonymity, narrated that armed attackers have already cordoned off all the villages in Agatu and encircled them for attacks.

He said the invaders suspected to be herders have been killing residents in their farms and homes.
