
The Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo was among the top dignitaries at the inauguration ceremony of Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State for a second term in office.
The inauguration ceremony which held at Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri, the Imo state Capital also had in attendance the President and Commender in-Chief, Nigeria’s Armed Forces, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former President Olusegun Obasanjo and other past and present leaders in the country.
Governor Soludo represented by his Deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim congratulated Senator Hope Uzodimma on his victory at the polls few months ago, urged him to work for the good of all Imolites irrespective of political affiliation.
Dr. Ibezim equally urged the Imo state Number One Citizen to sustain those legacies that fetched him another four years in office in keenly contested election, even as he called for supports of Imolites to his administration.
The Senate President Godswill Akpabio and the Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas also attended the event.
Monday’s inauguration came about two months after Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) won a second term in office, defeating his closest rivals Samuel Anyanwu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP)’s Athan Achonu
