Following his emergence as the winner of the Anambra Governorship Election, INEC on Friday November 12, 2021 presented the Certificates of Return to the Governor-elect, Prof Charles Soludo and the Deputy Governor- elect, Dr Onyeka Ibezim on at the Collation Centre, INEC State Office, Awka, Anambra State.
In his acceptance speech, Prof Soludo thanked Ndị Anambra for the overwhelming support and promised that this divine mandate will be deployed for the good of the Anambra public and humanity at large.
The deputy governor elect, Ibezim also pledged to hold Soludo to his campaign promises and ensure he delivers to the people.
The certificate presentation comes a day after the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the elections, Andy Uba, rejected the outcome of the polls and vowed to challenge in court, claiming the election was characterized by widespread irregularities, intimidation and voter suppression, despite a flurry of congratulatory messages to Soludo from other candidates.
