Some Nigerians have expressed dismay over what they termed ‘selfish desires’, since the visit of some former super eagles players to National APC Leader, Bola Tinubu, became public.
Former Super Eagles players, Pastor Taribo West, Kanu Nwankwo, Jay Jay Okocha, Victor Ikpeba were among those that visited the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, on Saturday.
In the video that has gone viral, Taribo West was seen praying fervently for Tinubu’s 2023 presidential ambition.
It was gathered that the ex-Super Eagles met with Tinubu on Saturday at his home ahead of the novelty football match scheduled for Sunday at Onikan Stadium in Lagos State.
Some Nigerians took to social media to criticize the ex-players, especially Taribo West, for praying for Tinubu’s ambition despite Nigeria’s current situation.
Some said they found it hard to believe they paid him a visit to endorse his political ambition while others alleged they visited him for money.
