Speaker Imo State House of Assembly Kennedy Ibeh celebrate Christmas with the patients in the hospitals.

In the spirit of giving, of which the season signifies, the Speaker Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Kennedy Ibeh, on 26 December, went to the hospitals in Obowo Local Government Area, to celebrate Christmas with the patients in the hospitals, including offsetting, hospital bills for those that incurred over 300,000 naira bills and more.

In a statement made available to the press by the Senior Special Assistant on New Media, Prince A.A. Nwankwo, the Speaker
moved from Chinonyerem hospital to Mercy Hospital Umulogho Obowo to Mc Lawrence Group Hospitals Umuariam Obowo, and others where he also paid hospital bills for some patients.

Receiving the payments, some of those Mr Speaker paid their bills thanked him for celebrating Christmas in such a manner with them.

Among the Patients is Victoria Nathaniel in Ehume Obowo who had a successful surgery since September, Mrs Chinonye Uche from Umuosochie Obowo, Favour Alozie from Ehume Obowo, Wale Emmanuel, Mrs Roseline, Ogechi Augustine – Isiala Mbano, and many others.

Also, one of the patients who had stayed at one of the hospitals visited and was unable to pay for hospital bills, for more than one year after delivering a new baby through surgery since 2020 also had her bills cleared by the Speaker.

In their separate responses, Hon. Chief Dr D.C Anosike, the Medical Director/Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O) of Mc Lawrence Group Hospitals Umuariam Obowo, thanked Mr Speaker for his kind gestures, especially for paying the bills of all his patients, both those discharged and those not discharged.

Dr Chinonyerem, the Medical Director of Chinonyerem Hospital, equally thanked Mr Speaker so much for his kind gestures.
