A group of women has condemned the dehumanization meted out on a woman as seen on a viral video on Sunday.

The Ultimate Businesswomen and Farmers Association of Nigeria, through their National President, Hon Mrs Nkiru Nwagbo
joined well-meaning citizens to call out the inhuman treatment of a woman from Aguleri in Anambra East local government area of Anambra state by a gang of the mob.

According to Hon Nkiru Nwagbo, the woman’s sin is being childless while they also alleged she killed her husband, which caused the community to take laws into their hands by bringing her to public ridicule and dehumanization without recourse to her rights.

The Group stated that the law must take its course and that the perpetrators must be brought to book.

They also called on the Federation of Women Lawyers to take up the matter and rise to defend and protect the right of this embattled woman.

The group also appreciated the Anambra State police command for the arrest made so far and urged the command not to relent in bringing the culprits to book.

They equally prayed that the Traditional Ruler of the Aguleri community, the Town Union executive should take measures at ensuring the protection of the lives and rights of women in the town.

Hon Nkiru Nwagbo also stated that the members of the organization would not relent to pursue the matter to its logical conclusion.
