Ahead of the Super Eagles of Nigeria’s 2022 world cup qualifying match against the Lone Stars of Liberia, Eagles’ captain, Ahmed Musa, has said the team will be aiming for all three points in the game on Saturday.

Speaking to NFF TV during a pre-match conference on Thursday, the “Fatih Karagümrük” and Super Eagles’ forward noted that team was aware of the importance of the game and is confident they will get the job done when they file out against their fellow West Africans in Tangier, Morocco in the second round of the qualifiers.

Despite being 116 places ahead of Liberia, Musa added that they cannot afford to underrate the Liberians, having slipped to a shocking home defeat to the Central Africa Republic in October.

Nigeria is currently top of group C with nine points after four matches and could have sealed a place in the final round of qualifiers with a win against Central Africa Republic in Lagos, but now have to defeat Liberia in Morocco and avoid defeat against second-placed Cape Verde at home in Lagos next week to reach the play-off.
