Suspected Killer Of Nigerian In Italy Arrested By Police
The suspected murderer of a Nigerian based in Italy, Mr. Ogochukwu Alika, a physically-challenged, allegedly beaten to death by an Italian, has been arrested.
The chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NiDCOM, Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, made this known while giving an update on the case.
Dabiri-Eriwa informed that the suspect who was arrested by the Italian police is expected to be charged to court.
She added that the Italian police were working and cooperating with the Nigerian mission in Italy to ensure that justice is done and the culprit face the consequences of his action.
According to her, the Nigerian mission has requested that the Italian government provide a good job for the widow, Mrs. Alika, to be able to cater for the family, as she is now the bread winner, after the death of her husband.
Dabiri-Erewa thanked the Nigerian community in Italy, various organisations and individuals in Italy who had supported and raised funds for the late Alika’s family since his death.
The NiDCOM boss also gave an update on the gruesome murder of two young Nigerians, Tosin Amos Arowoshegbe, and Chibueze Momah, who were shot dead at a Canadian nightclub, while working as guards.
The NiDCOM chairman said that Canadian authorities had identified a suspect and were working to get to the cause of the unfortunate incident
