The climax of the 40th edition unfolded at the NEROS stadium, Nanka, featuring a fierce match between Nkpor Branch and Umuahia Branch teams on January 1. Nkpor Branch emerged victorious with a 1-0 score, securing their sixth championship title.
SWAN and Rangers FC lauded Emenike for his enduring commitment to football development, citing his unmatched consistency and unwavering passion for the game.
Chimezie Anaso, Chairman of SWAN in Anambra, described Emenike as a remarkable gift to Anambra and football at large. Leading a delegation to present a pair of jerseys to the esteemed football financier, Anaso highlighted Emenike’s remarkable support for the Nanka Champions League and his two-decade-long sponsorship of the Anamb FA Cup.
Anaso emphasized the significance of Emenike’s contributions, including the transformation of the ecological disaster area, Nanka Erosion (NEROS), into a world-standard football stadium. In recognition of Emenike’s patronage for over 15 years, SWAN expressed unwavering commitment to a continued partnership.
