Former Sokoto State Governor and Senator representing Sokoto South, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of using coercion, propaganda, and economic distress to force defections from the opposition.
He described the APC’s latest attack on him as an attempt to stifle dissent and divert attention from Nigeria’s worsening crisis.
Tambuwal’s statement follows remarks by APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, who dismissed his concerns over recent defections as baseless.
However, the senator insists that the movement of politicians into the APC is not driven by ideological conviction but by desperation amid the crushing economic hardship inflicted by the ruling party’s failed policies.
