The meeting, which, had the President of the Manufacturer’s Association of Nigeria (MAN), Engr. Mansur Ahmed in attendance and other members of the Sanitary, Diapers & Napkin group of MAN, alongside other medical practitioners and physicians across the globe had its theme as Providing Affordable Sanitary Pads to Young Girls across Nigeria.
According to an online post, the wife of Imo State Governor, Barrister Mrs Chioma Uzodimma, said she aligns with Her Excellency Erelu (Dr.) Bisi Adeleye Fayemi’s desire for the project to kick off as it is an essential part of the society, especially for the girls.
Barrister Chioma said that while the issue of providing affordable sanitary pads across the country is still a topic of discussion because of certain regulations, she believes they are closer to deciding on how to best provide these resources for the young girls for as little as possible.
