The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) has criticized Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, for allegedly demarketing the state during a public lecture in the United States. The PDP received Otti’s disclosure of financial irregularities in the state’s past administration, particularly regarding airport projects with great displeasure.
The PDP, in a statement signed by the party’s state publicity secretary, Amah Abraham accused Otti of missed opportunities to promote investment in the state and suggested his actions resemble a media trial.
The party has urged Otti to focus on governance and refrain from interfering with ongoing inquiries into past administration officials.
