Comrade Chikwelu, speaking on Wednesday after the State Executive Council meeting, warned those he described as miscreants to stop parading themselves as leaders of the Union.
He cautioned them against blackmailing the Union, State Government and the officials, which he noted, aimed at inciting the workers against the government and portraying the Union’s image in bad light.
He alleged that the purported parallel leadership was being sponsored by an unrepentant opposition and critic of the Governor Willie Obiano-led administration, adding that they have reported to security agencies, who warned them to steer clear of the union leadership.
He said the faction accused the government of delay in harmonizing salaries of state and local government workers, and also accused the government of not implimenting the 2016 promotion.
