Tinubu Appoints Ayo Sotinrin as New MD of Bank of Agriculture

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Ayo Sotinrin as the new Managing Director of the Bank of Agriculture. The announcement was made on Friday, April 4, 2025, by presidential adviser Bayo Onanuga.

Sotinrin, a seasoned finance and agribusiness expert, previously served as CEO of SAO Group, where he led major agricultural projects including a 20,000-hectare oil palm plantation in Ondo State.

He also raised over $750 million in development finance and consulted for global organizations like the World Bank and USAID.

His appointment aligns with Tinubu’s strategy to transform Nigeria’s agricultural sector and ensure food security and rural prosperity.
