President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe as the Director-General and Global Liaison for the Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership following Tinubu’s recent visit to China. Tegbe, a first-class civil engineering graduate with over 35 years of experience in business strategy, will report directly to the president and is tasked with developing a strategic action plan to maximize benefits from the agreements made during the visit.
The partnership aims to enhance Nigeria’s infrastructure, healthcare, and education sectors, with China pledging approximately $51 billion in new financing for African nations over the next three years. Tegbe’s leadership is expected to be crucial in implementing these initiatives and ensuring alignment with Nigeria’s development goals.
