The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume, has affirmed President Bola Tinubu’s dedication to revitalizing Nigeria’s ailing economy, which he inherited in a distressed state. Speaking at a Thanksgiving Mass, Akume assured the public that Tinubu is diligently working to improve the economic situation for the benefit of all citizens.
According to Akume, the current administration has made tough decisions aimed at ultimately benefiting ordinary Nigerians. He emphasized that the economic hardships currently faced by the citizens are temporary and that the government is working tirelessly to alleviate their sufferings. Akume also stressed the government’s commitment to the welfare and wellbeing of all citizens and encouraged prayers for the President and the success of his government.
The Auxilliary Bishop of Abuja Archdiocese, Most Rev. Anselm Umoren, urged leaders, including Akume, to prioritize the interests of the less privileged and strive to create a positive impact on people’s lives.
In response, the Catholic Archbishop of Abuja Archdiocese, Most Rev Ignatius Kiagama, commended Sen. Akume’s virtues and assured continued prayers for him and the government.
This reassurance by Sen. Akume underscores the government’s commitment to addressing the economic challenges and working towards a prosperous future for all Nigerians.
