Two Die As Two-storey Building Collapses In Anambra
Two persons reportedly lost their lives when two-storey building under construction collapsed in Oraifite, Ekwusigo Local Government of Anambra State.
According to the report, the building which was being rid of its second floor said to have a defect, caved in and killed two persons working at the site.
A source said: “Two persons lost their lives in the building collapse in Ibolo, Oraifite in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State.
“The deceased were said to be working at the two storey facility when the incident occurred at the early hours of Friday.
“The Engineer in charge had instructed the workers to remove the second floor which was not properly constructed.
“It was in course of the removal that the building caved in.”
According to the report, as at Saturday morning, the body of one of the victims had been recovered from the debris, while the other was yet to be found.
