Nigeria has been ranked ninth with 18 per cent rate of open defeaction in the latest report by The World of Statistics.
In 2021, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) reported that 46 million Nigerians still practice open defecation, rating it at 23 per cent.
Presently, Niger Republic tops the list dominated by African countries with 68.1% followed by Chad, South Sudan, Benin Republic, Namibia and Togo.
