An Unidentified driver of a Toyota Carina with registration number FD310ABC on Thursday March 25th 2021 had a lone fatal Accident by the Toll gate, close to Nteje by Enugu Onitsha expressway at about 5pm Nigerian time.
Eyewitness report reaching Federal Road Safety Corps indicates that the crash was as a result of over Speeding which led to loss of control.
Three persons who were involved in the crash, were 2 male adults and 1 female adult.
One male adult and one female adult sustained varying degrees of injuries and was rushed to St Charles borromeo hospital by the FRSC rescue team from Nteje Command. One of the male adult was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty and his body has been deposited at Wisdom Mortuary Awkuzu. Obstruction had cleared for free flow of traffic.
The Sector Commander Anambra State *CC Andrew A Kumapayi FHNR* sends his prayers to the injured for quick recovery. He also sends his condolences to the deasesed family.
He however warned motorist to avoid over speeding, urging them to drive with care to avoid unnecessary crash. He went further to advice that it’s important to plan one’s journey ahead of time to avoid unnecessary over-speeding to meet up an appointment as over-speeding has been proven to be the major cause of fatal Crash on the Nigeria highways which can be avoided if we plan our journey.
