Update on Coronavirus Shows that Nigeria recorded 304 new confirmed cases of COVID-19

In what is seen as the lowest number of daily cases of Covid-19 recently, update on COVID-19 on the 2nd of August, 2020, shows that 304 new confirmed cases and 5 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.

Till date, 43,841 cases have been confirmed in the country.

According to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, out of this number, 20,308 cases have been discharged, while 888 deaths have also been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The 304 new cases are reported from 15 states-

Lagos (81), FCT (39),
Abia (31), Kaduna (24), Rivers (23), Plateau (16), Cross River (13), Ebonyi (12), Ondo (12) Ekiti (11),
Edo (11), Benue (10), Nasarawa (10), Ogun (6), and Gombe (5).

NCDC has cautioned Nigerians to take responsibility by adhering to COVID 19 protocols to save their lives and the lives . Maintaining Social distance, Washing the hands regularly , using nose masks and avoiding large crowds still remain protective ways against the virus.
