There is also a report that following the CBN’s latest directives for deposit banks to pay and accept old 500 and 1000 naira notes, there was visible reduction in the number of people outside the banks as compared to previous days.
According to our correspondent, on Tuesday, customers were seen going in and out of First bank with their Automated Teller Machine serving some customers too.
Zenith and Fidelity banks had their banking halls opened for customers to enter as there was free movement around in and out of the banks but the ATM sections were vacant.
At GTB and UBA lots of people were outside the compound as there was controlled movement into the banking premises.
