
The special Assistant to the governor on legal matters, Barr Chinedu Leonard Adili Ubah gave a befitting New year gift to Gladys Anyamene family of Umudim Village, Nnewi, Nnewi North Council area.
In a remark by the Parish priest of St Mark’s Catholic church, Rev. Fr. Dominic Okezue, Barr Chinedu had approached him with the request to identify a beneficiary for a house.
Father Okezue then informed the Anyamene family on the 24th of November, 2020 and the benefactor as well. Without delay, work resumed on the site immediately.
Commissioning the building, former governor of Anambra state, Dame Virgy Etiaba commended Bar Chinedu for bringing light into the Anyamene family.
While explaining reasons for the action, Barr Adili Ubah said that building the house was in fulfillment of the promise he made to God . He had promised to use percentage of his proceeds from his factory to build a house for a widow.
The beneficiary , Mrs Gladys Anyamene thanked the benefactor while saying the project is the greatest gift she has ever received from any body.
Among people present at the Handover/House Warming ceremony were Former Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Chief Emma Nsiedo, Chief Melie Onyejepu, Chief Kenneth Adili-Uba, among others.
