In a compelling statement, Nigerian media mogul and philanthropist, Mo Abudu, is urging African women to overcome discrimination by putting in extra effort.
During an exclusive interview with BBC, Abudu responded to her inclusion in Forbes’ 100 Most Powerful Women list, where she secured the 98th spot alongside Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the Director-General of the World Trade Organization.
Abudu emphasized the need for African women to break barriers, acknowledging the multi-layered discrimination they face. She stressed that women must recognize and confront these challenges, working three times harder to succeed.
Expressing her gratitude, Abudu attributed her recognition to divine intervention, stating, that being named among the best African women in Forbes list can only be God’s doing.
