
In a message to mark this year’s Anglican Youth Sunday delivered by Bro Ozoemena Ezeugo at the church service held at Our Saviour’s Anglican Church Emmaus house Awka, the Archbishop Ecclesiastical province of Niger and Anglican Bishop of Awka diocese, Most Rev Alexander Chibuzo Ibezim, described youths as the future of the church and the nation in general.
Most Rev Ibezim advised youths to shun bad company that breeds evil and leads to human destruction.
He encouraged them to always have faith in God and show his goodness by preaching to friends and colleagues.
Bishop Ibezim maintained that the youthful age is the prime era to serve God through humanity.
The Anglican primate advised youths to discover their talents early enough and channel them to positive production in order to improve their lives and the society.
He sited that God has great plans for youths who abide in the word of God.
While inaugurating the newly installed patrons of the church,the parish priest of Our Saviour’s Anglican Church Awka, Rev Azubuike Mgbikeh charged them to always be close to the youths of the church and provide them with the necessary guide in the Lord.
Speaking to our correspondent Ifeoma Egbeocha shortly after the Church service, one of the newly installed patrons, Hon Chukwuemeka Pat Nkem Orjiakor stated that it is always fulfilling to serve the Lord and encouraged the youths to put their trust in God who blesses the righteous exceedingly.
