A frontline APGA chieftain in Anambra state and former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Professor Charles Soludo, has officially identified with the twenty-four support groups in the state and assured Ndi Anambra of a continued bright future.
The event which was held at the Professor Dora Akunyilu Women Development Centre, Awka, attracted massive number of members of the twenty-four groups from across the state and beyond who together, made prayers to ask God for his divine intervention in the forthcoming election in the state.
The objective of the groups who have been galvanizing support for Professor Charles Soludo since 2019, is to ensure that there is continuity after the Giants strides achieved by Governor Willie Obiano’s tenure.
Addressing the gathering, Professor Charles Soludo harped on the need to consolidate on the good governance of Governor Willie Obiano, and thanked the various groups for their efforts and support which he noted will be reciprocated at the appropriate time.
Earlier, the immediate past Member Representing Idemili North and South at the Federal House of Representative, Honourable, Ifeanyichukwu Ibezim who chaired the occasion, the Chairman of all Soludo support groups, Mr Chinedu Nwoye, and an APGA Chieftain, Chief Ben Obi, observed that what Anambra state needs at the moment is a Governor that is knowledgeable who will be able to toe the steps of Governor Obiano in other to take the state to an enviable height.
In their various remarks, the Managing Director Anambra Synage and Advertisement Agency Mr Jude Emecheta, Dr. Nelson Omenugha the Convener YESS, one of the support groups, reminded Ndi Anambra that what is at stake is their future and that of their children and future generation, which they said can only be guaranteed by a man with high pedigree.
Among dignitaries that graced the occasion were the Commissioner for Basic Education, Professor Kate Omenugha, Member Representing Anambra East at the state House of Assembly, Dr Obinna Emenaka, his Njikoka Constituency Two counterpart, Honourable Peter Ibida, among others.
