
Anambra State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has sent its condolences over the demise of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Limidi Adeyemi III, Iku Baba Yeye, who joined his ancestors at the age of 83.
A release signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Okelo Madukaife, on behalf of the Party Members and other stakeholders, commiserated with the Royal Family of the late Alaafin, Bashorun of Oyo, Oloye Yusuf Akinade, The Oyomesi, Governor of Oyo State, HE Seyi Makinde, the entire Yoruba people, hundreds of thousands of Anambra State indigenes in Oyo Kingdom, and millions of subjects, fans and well wishers the late Alaafin’s sphere of influence.
He noted that Oba Adeyemi has bestrode the throne of Oyo Kingdom like a colossus for close to two generations, effectively, serving as a bridge between the older and younger generations.
Anambra State APC thanked God for his life which went from grass yo Grace, and the longevity granted to him by God.

Our dynamic chapter of the great All Progressives Congress (APC) is enveloped by a deep sense of loss at the news of the demise Oba Limidi Adeyemi III, Iku Baba Yeye The Alaafin of Oyo at the age of 83.
Oba Adeyemi has bestrode the throne of Oyo Kingdom like a colossus for close to two generations, effectively serving as a bridge between the older and younger generations, culturally and historically, for which he will be sorely missed.
While thanking God for his life which went from grass to grace and the longevity granted to him by God, we note that his exit is coming at a time when his invaluable experience is required to contribute in navigating the nation to a greater future in 2023.
On behalf of our Chapter Leader Sen. Dr. Chris Ngige, our State Chairman, Barr. Emeka Ibe, the State Executive, Stakeholders and members of our dynamic chapter, we commiserate with the Royal Family of the late Alaafin, Bashorun of Oyo,Oloye Yusuf Akinade, The Oyomesi, Governor of Oyo State, HE Seyi Makinde , the entire Yoruba people, hundreds of thousands of Anambra State indigenes in Oyo Kingdom, and millions of subjects, fans and well wishers the late Alaafin’s sphere of influence.
We single out for special condolences our own Chief George Nnadubem Moghalu, Managing Director of National Inland Waterways (NIWA) and a leader in our chapter, who is the holder of the title, Fiwajoye the title of recently conferred by his majesty, gone beyond.
We wish the kingdom of Oyo a peaceful and orderly transition to the next era and trust that the legacy of the royal deceased will guide the kingdom he is leaving behind.
