Anambra Media Excellence Award (AMEA) has restated its commitment to uphold professionalism in the Media and Communications Industry.
In a statement released by the CEO, AMEA Awards and president of Association of Digital Media Core Advocates(ADMCA) , Dr Harris Chuma-Odili noted that the award for excellence in journalism recognises professional reporting of outstanding merit that contributed in an exceptional way to the public understanding of psychoanalytic and psychological principles and phenomena.
As AMEA prepares for its Second awards, Dr Chuma-Odili also recalled that the Inaugural edition of the Awards ceremony which held in Awka in 2019, honoured numerous stakeholders in the Media and Communications Industry.
Among those honored for their contributions to Anambra in their respective categories were the Anambra State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Chief C Don Adinuba, Former Commissioner for Information and Culture, High Chief Maja Umeh, Nigeria Union of Journalists Anambra State Council Chairman, Comrade Emma Ifesinachi , CEO/Managing Director Anambra Broadcasting Service, Nze Uche Nworah, among others.
AMEA 2020 Gala will hold on November 29 at Marble Arch Hotel, Awka at 3pm.
