A People’s Democratic Party governorship aspirant in the November 6 gubernatorial election in Anambra State, Dr Wilson Ude, has further pressed home the PDP’s determination to win the governorship election billed for November 6, 2021.
This was made evident when Dr Ude donated 21 Cars to the party’s 21 Local Government Chairmen in Anambra State.
Presenting the vehicles to the beneficiaries at PDP Party Secretariat in Awka, the governorship aspirant said it was time PDP reclaimed its rightful position in Anambra State, adding that the party has all it takes to be there.
He expressed hope that he will be the Party’s choice and candidate to contest the election under PDP flag and promised never to disappoint them if given the opportunity.
He further pledged to support whoever emerges as the candidate, asserting that what should be paramount in everybody’s mind is that PDP emerges the winner come November 6.
Dr Ude called on the Chairmen, the party faithful and other stakeholders to join forces to ensure they achieve the set goal.
He said, ” l am not against supporting other aspirants. We have whatever it takes to win this election. I hope to be the candidate for the election “,
Speaking, the State Chairman of PDP, Chief Ndubisi Nwobu, appreciated Dr Ude for the gesture which he described as unprecedented in the anal of PDP in Anambra State.
He promised that the vehicles would be judiciously used for the purpose they were donated, and also advised the party Chairmen to ensure they use the vehicles for official and not domestic purposes.
Chief Nwobu also appreciated all members who have made similar donations as well as those who have made significant impact towards the success of the party including Chief Godwin Ezemo and Mr Valentine Ozigbo, praying God to reward them accordingly.
To the Chairmen and party faithful Nwobu said, “Remember, to whom much is given, much is expected. We will make sure we leave no stone unturned to sensitize and mobilize Anambra State for the election. By the mandate of Anambrarians, PDP will come to power again “.
The vehicles were earlier showcased in a Road Show from Awka through Nibo- Nise – Amawbia and back to Awka, during which they received cheers from members of the public indicating solidarity.
