Anambra ROLAC II: A Beacon of Hope in the Fight Against Gender-Based Violence
The Child Protection Network (CPN) Anambra Chapter, under the leadership of Mrs. Euchria Anekwe, wishes to express its heartfelt appreciation to the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption (ROLAC) Programme for its unwavering support in the fight against gender-based violence (GBV) in Anambra State.
During our recent quarterly review meeting, we reflected on the progress made in combating GBV and reiterated our commitment to strengthening our partnership with ROLAC. We are grateful for ROLAC’s dedication to promoting gender equality and advocating for a dedicated court for GBV cases in Anambra State.
The establishment of the Anambra State Child’s Law Implementation Committee and the VAPP (Violence Against Persons Prohibition) Law Implementation Committee is a testament to ROLAC’s commitment to creating a safer and more just society for all.
Furthermore, the team is advocating for the remodelling of the SGBV designated court, provision of children’s correctional center, VAPP commission, Transit Shelter, and stronger synergy with law enforcement agencies in SGBV case pick-ups and management.
Madam Josephine Onah, State Project Coordinator of ROLAC, expressed her full support and commendation for the efforts of CPN Anambra Chapter during our meeting. She acknowledged the progress made in combating GBV in the state and reiterated ROLAC’s commitment to continued collaboration and support.
With Madam Josephine’s endorsement, we are confident that our collective efforts will lead to a significant reduction in GBV cases in Anambra State and create a safer environment for all.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Eucharia Anekwe
Leader, Child Protection Network (CPN) Anambra Chapter
