Anambra state commissioner for Public Utilities and Water Resources carries out final inspection of an expandable 2×60 MVA built-in Awka

Anambra state commissioner for Public Utilities and Water Resources Engr. Emeka Ezenwanne alongside officials of Niger Delta Electricity Distribution Company and Nigeria integrated Power Project earlier on Monday carried out final inspection of an expandable 2×60 MVA built-in Awka and ready for commissioning before the end of the month.

The power injection substation project which was built by the national digital exploitation Centre, NDEC and NIPP when commissioned according to the Commissioner will help increase hours of availability of power in Awka and environs as well as boost businesses and power industries.

Moreover, Engr. Ezenwanne informed that the 2×60MVA is different from the ongoing construction of six (6) injection substations in the state which is a partnership between Anambra state government and NIPP.

The Commissioner thanked Governor Willie Obiano for his continuous investments in the power sector which he noted is key to unlocking industrial revolution in the state and Southeast as a whole.
