Anambra State Government Empowers Journalists with ICT Training

In a bid to equip journalists with cutting-edge skills and keep pace with technological advancements, the Anambra State government organized an intensive one-day ICT training workshop exclusively tailored for media professionals operating within the region.
The training took place on 21th July at the Anambra State ICT Agency office government house awka.
This collaborative effort was spearheaded by the Anambra State ICT Agency, in partnership with the State Ministry of Information, PA-CENT Technologies, and Bonitas Technologies.
Addressing the attendees, Mr. Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, the MD/CEO of the Anambra State ICT Agency, emphasized the critical importance of staying updated with technological trends to elevate journalistic capabilities. He passionately urged the journalists to seize this opportunity to broaden their knowledge of ICT, thereby amplifying the impact of their work.
Representing Mr. Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, Mr. Sunday Folayan, the Technical Assistant, reiterated the agency’s commitment to nurturing talent and fostering professional growth.
He highlighted that staying ahead in the digital age is contingent on continuous learning and adapting to the latest tools and technologies.
The training curriculum encompassed a diverse range of enlightening sessions. Journalists delved into the effective utilization of modern media and productivity tools to streamline their workflows and enhance efficiency.
The workshop also unveiled the potential of Artificial Intelligence for content creation, offering journalists innovative approaches to storytelling and data analysis.
