Anambra State Government warns that ban on commercial motorcyclists is still in force

Anambra State Government has informed the public that the order banning the operations of commercial motorcycles is still in Awka, Onitsha and environ, is still in force.

A release signed by the Commissioner for Transport, Honourable Afam Mbanefo, said that henceforth, no commercial motorcyclist should operate after 9PM, at locations such as Nnewi and other Anambra towns where commercial motorcyclists are permitted to operate.

He said law enforcement agencies are by this announcement directed to impound any commercial motorcycle seen operating anywhere in the state after 9PM.

The Commissioner warned that offenders would be prosecuted.
