Anambra State Government has reacted to reports and insinuations making the rounds on the Teachers Recruitment examinations held in the state on Saturday, June fourth, 2022.
In a release signed by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary Christian Aburime, the report has it that the test was conducted in line with the cardinal objectives of Professor Soludo and his administration of strengthening and repositioning the education sector in the state, and tallies with the conviction of the Governor that education remains a veritable equipment for enhanced living and building of a better society.
According to him, to ensure transparency in the exercise, the Ministry of Education charged with the responsibility, received over forty thousand applications and listed about thirty-one thousand, eight hundred qualified applicants after reviews.
Applicants considered too old for civil service, Graduates without National Youth Service Corps discharged certificates or Exemption letter and other deficiencies were disqualified.
He made it clear that the Commissioner for Education, Professor Ngozi Chuma Udeh, has also made necessary explanations on the matter and has submitted her reports on the exercise to the governor.
