Anambra to Collaborate with Delta State on Easing Traffic On Niger Bridge

In a bid to ensure free flow of traffic at the Niger bridgehead this yuletide, Anambra and Delta State governments have entered a partnership to control traffic congestion on the bridge.

The secretary to the government of Anambra State, Prof Solo Chukwulobelu, made this known while speaking to journalists on Friday.

According to the SSG, the two states have been collaborating during festive seasons on traffic control and tackling insecurity since 2015 – ensuring free movement in and around the Niger River Bridge-Head, Onitsha – Asaba.

He also warned that any motorist who refuses to obey the traffic codes will be dealt with.

On his part, the representative of Delta State Government and Chief Policy Advisor to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Prof. Sylvester Monye noted that the two states had also provided tow trucks to assist broken down vehicles and allow for easy flow of traffic.
