APGA National Chairman Applauds Gov. Soludo For Compulsory Free Education In Anambra Schools.

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, has commended the Executive Governor of Anambra State and the National Leader of APGA, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, for his revolutionary decision to implement compulsory free education from nursery to JSS3 in public schools in Anambra State.

The Governor also reduced the fees paid by senior students across the board to N5,000 and strictly instructed that no other levies or dues should be added to it.

The National Chairman reiterated that education is the cornerstone of national development, as it empowers individuals with knowledge, skills, and critical thinking abilities that drive innovation, progress, and societal advancements.

Barr. Ezeokenwa highlighted Governor Soludo’s visionary leadership in proposing the implementation of mandatory free education in public schools throughout Anambra State.

He stated, “This significant move reflects the governor’s dedication to empowering every child, regardless of their socio-economic background, by providing them with the opportunity to receive a quality education.”

“Under Governor Soludo’s astute leadership, the state government has demonstrated unswerving commitment to investing in the education sector. By lifting the financial burden from parents’ shoulders, Anambra State is taking a bold stride towards fostering an empowered and enlightened society. This exemplifies the ideals and ideology of APGA, which advocates equal access to quality education as a fundamental pillar of positive societal transformation.”

The APGA National Chairman acknowledged the tremendous significance of the groundbreaking initiative. By making education compulsory and eliminating any pretext of fees, parents in Anambra State can rest assured that their children’s education will not be held hostage by financial constraints. This represents a clear-cut departure from the prevailing practices in other states, where hidden costs and financial burdens often throw a wrench in the works of similar initiatives.

Governor Soludo also made a splash two weeks ago when he revealed that expectant mothers in the state would receive top-notch care, including complimentary prenatal and delivery services free of charge. These initiatives are truly outstanding, as they raise the standard and make a lasting impression on the public. They serve as a true testament to the governor’s success and are a stellar demonstration of prioritizing the needs of the community’s most fragile individuals.

The APGA National Chairman urges other states to follow the progressive path laid by Anambra State in making education free and compulsory, eliminating fees on parents, and also introducing free prenatal care and childbirth services. The Chairman also encourages parents, teachers, and community leaders to actively participate in these initiatives and work together to foster an inclusive system that nurtures the talents and potential of our future leaders.
