Anambra State Civil Society Network (ACSONET) a platform for citizens and non state actors, yesterday came out to condemn in strongest terms, the worrisome spate of insecurity and wanton killings in the State.

The Chairman of the group, Prince Chris Azor stated this in a release to the Media, while monitoring the on going Statewide COVID-19 vaccination exercise.

In the statement, Comrade Azor,
gave full support to the State Governor, Chief (Sir) Willie Obiano to deploy his usual tact and finesse to bring the menace under control, and return the State to its known peace and harmony.

He recalled that within the past few days, the State and indeed other parts of the Southeast geopolitical zone had unfortunately witnessed curious attacks targeted at Security personnel and public facilities by armed brigands and hoodlums.

He also noted that Police Officers, the Military and paramilitary officials were not spared in these curious dastardly acts.

Comrade Azor said that the development is absolutely unacceptable and condemnable and enjoined patriotic citizens, the youth and civil society stakeholders to arise and protect our communities and civic space from obvious sponsored attacks by haters of peaceful coexistence and development.

He called on Ndi Anambra to remain calm, but vigilant.

He expressed full, unflinching confidence in the ability of the State Governor to bring the situation under control in the shortest possible time while calling on all to rekindle the culture and spirit of Onye aghana nwanne ya for desired victorious result.
