
The first phase of the road project attracted by Hon Tony Nwoye, the former member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency is expected to take off by October after the raining season.

Hon Tony Nwoye stated that the federal government has earmarked the sum of 1.1billion naira for the first phase of the project while assuring that the President has promised to approve more funds for the project.
He described the Onitsha – Otuocha – Ayamelum – adani federal road as beneficial to the agricultural sector of the State and the entire nation as it serves as the major route for farm products to the markets and major cities.
Hon Nwoye further stated that the construction works will take off by October and will be completed in a record time.
Speaking, a stakeholder in the area Hon Onuzuluike Udemezue appreciated the federal government and the sponsor of the project Hon Tony Nwoye for coming to the aide of the local government area after over 25years neglect.
He stated that the importance of the federal road cannot be overemphasized as it connects Anambra to other States of Enugu,Kogi and Abuja.
He however called on the federal government to give the contract to a reputable firm to ensure the road is completed in record time.
