
The Member Representing Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Engr Chris Emeka Azubogu took an assessment tour of facilities damaged in his federal Constituency as a result of the hijack of the EndSARS protests by hoodlums.
According to report, during the tour over the weekend, he inspected 14 vandalized facilities.
He said that following the your of the three local government areas in his federal Constituency, the hoodlums destroyed security infrastructure and other critical amenities.
He decried the extent of the damages and wondered if such couldn’t have been averted if timely internal conflict resolution mechanisms have been put in place .
Azubogu said that this is a challenge to the people and the Government and spoke on the need to rebuild the vandalized facilities immediately and also put in framework that will avert a repeat of such ugly incident.
He commiserated with families that lost their loved ones , especially that of the two police officers killed at Osumenyi Police Station.
Among the facilities visited were the Nnewi Central Police Station, Nnewi, Nnewi Area Command, Nnewi, Osumenyi Police Stations, Nnewi South LGA, Ozubulu Divisional Police Station, among others.
